We’ve been looking back on our achievements from 2018, and we decided to make a little infographic with some of the highlights.
As you can see, we ran a total of 86 courses (including 18 accredited courses) and had 279 learners in total. 150 of these have progressed through at least 2 of our courses!
We had yet another fantastic annual exhibition, our fifth one this year: 5HINE. We celebrated all of the fantastic work created by our learners this year and heard a little about what Media Savvy means to those involved, both learners and partners…not forgetting Mel’s rap! (which you can see on our youtube channel)
Our social media presence is still something we take real pride in, making sure that we’re always up to date with engaging content and giving you the chance to get involved. We managed 813 likes on our facebook page this year and we’re hoping to make it 1000 (so please invite your friends!)
We’ve moved premises from our tiny office into a whole new building on Norfolk Street Sunderland, where we’re currently making big changes and have plans to be able to deliver courses from here, as well as some other amazing additions such as a fitness suite and a cafe led mainly by those looking to progress into employment from our courses.
We really needed that office move as we employed 2 (and a half) full time staff members (the half is part time!) – we’re sure you’ll get to meet them soon if you haven’t already (keep an eye on our dev diary and website developments to see our updated team section soon!)
We’ve had 4 volunteers this year, all of whom have been fantastic helps to our sessions and have progressed massively since their first courses with us. You’ve all been a pleasure to work with!
