ABOUT
Founded in 2010, Media Savvy CIC is our north-east based multi-award winning social enterprise; a small organisation making a big difference within our target communities via courses and workshops.
Our core purpose is to promote education, employability skills, creativity and in some cases, also recovery and rehabilitation to some of the most marginalised groups and individuals in our region. We primarily individuals suffering with their mental health, ex-offenders, individuals with a learning disability and/or autism and/or those who are long-term unemployed.
A separate arm of the business specialises in delivering high quality, innovative and cost efficient commercial projects – helping us to achieve our social impact. Want to find our more? Check out our portfolio.

Community
Our course frameworks link to both digital arts and media and ICT + health, fitness and wellbeing. The majority of our provision has transferable employability skills embedded at the core.
We implement a ‘learning by stealth’ approach to education. Indeed many of our learners don’t always think they are learning, rather having fun and engaging in interesting activities.
We have a range of offers, from one-day beginner sessions to longer-term courses, which result in nationally recognised qualifications. We work with 350-500 individuals per year. We have six full time staff, four part time staff and a range of volunteers helping us to accomplish this work.

Commercial
We offer a range of commercial services which allows us to use any generated profits towards supporting our core social enterprise activities. Our core team of highly experienced tutors, who are also extremely talented designers, illustrators, videographers, animators, web/app developers and even personal trainers.
We guarantee that in hiring us you will receive a high quality service at a competitive rate, with excellent customer communication and aftercare, not mentioning an abundance of creative thinking. Most importantly, you will end up with a project you can be proud of. If that wasn’t enough, you can be sound in the knowledge that you are also making a significant impact via your corporate social responsibility (CSR). Find out more?
